Thyroid diseases affect more than 200 million people worldwide. Up to 60% of those affected may be unaware of their condition. Women are 5–8 times more likely than men to develop thyroid problems. In many countries, patients lack access to reliable information, peer support, and advocacy.
Patient organizations change this. They provide the education, support, and voice that thyroid patients need — and they often start with just one person who decides to make a difference.
Thyroid Federation International (TFI) is a global network of more than 40 thyroid patient organizations across all continents. TFI exists to help people as you start and grow thyroid patient organizations. You are not alone in this journey.
